MCA

This is a configuration that functions as a general Multi Channel Analyzer (MCA). Waveform discrimination is possible by measuring the peak value and rise / decay time. Waveform analysis is a fully digital method, and any window can be set. Up to 4 independent signal channels can be installed, enabling coincidence and correlation measurement between channels. The high-voltage bias power supply required for photomultiplier tubes and semiconductor detectors is mounted on each signal channel, and the bias voltage can be controlled at the same time as waveform analysis.

for BNCT

This is a configuration that functions as a neutron measuring device in combination with a LiCAF detector. In addition to waveform discrimination based on peak value and rise time, peak search and Gaussian fitting functions count neutrons in real time. Equipped with up to 4 independent signal channels. The high-voltage bias power supply required for photomultiplier tubes is mounted on each signal channel, and the bias voltage can be controlled at the same time as waveform analysis.

Cable Extension Type

This is a configuration to be combined with an extension amplifier product. The connection with the amplifier becomes an RJ45 connector, enabling measurement at a distance of up to 50 m. The waveform analysis function is equivalent to MCA. It does not have a high-voltage bias output on its own, but controls the high-voltage bias generator mounted on the extension amplifier.

Event measurement mode that enables advanced analysis

This is a measurement mode that can record not only the peak value but also the rise time and time information for each pulse. Event information can be exported to a text file, which can be used for various analyzes such as user coincidence measurement and 2D histogram conversion.

Histogram measurement mode that can handle high counting rates

The high-speed wave height histogram composition function by hardware which can correspond to the input of a high count rate is carried. It can also be measured at a count rate of 10 Mcps per signal channel.

Oscilloscope mode that allows you to observe the input waveform from the control PC

The oscilloscope mode allows you to observe the input waveform from the software on the control PC, making it easy to adjust the measurement conditions.

Highly flexible analog front end

  • Gain adjustment
    • The input gain can be adjusted from 1/64 times to 128 times, and it can support a wide input range.
  • Input resistance
    • It can be switched in 4 steps from 50Ω to 50kΩ.
  • Baseline restore
    • With the offset automatic adjustment function, you can adjust to the target level with one button.
  • Bipolar correspondence
    • Polarity can be reversed by digital processing.

Various digital filters

Random noise can be reduced by a 5-step digital low-pass filter (simple moving average filter). The decimation filter also allows the sampling rate to be decimated from 1/4 to 1/100. This supports pulse height analysis of pulse waveforms with a slow rise.

Independent high voltage bias power supply for each signal channel

Equipped with a high-voltage bias power supply required for photomultiplier tubes and semiconductor detectors, it is possible to simplify the setup during measurement. ON / OFF and output voltage can be changed independently for each signal channel from the software. It can also be used as a high-voltage bias power supply that can be remotely controlled without using the measurement function. Please select the polarity when ordering.

Network compatible

Connect the MCA and the control PC via LAN. Since remote connection via a LAN hub or router is also possible, it can be used even in an inaccessible measurement environment or in a remote location.

Use case

Directly insert LiCAF and PMT

The measurement system can be simply configured around this product. Since the input resistance and gain are variable, the PMT output can be directly connected to the signal input of this product. In addition, the bias voltage applied to the PMT can also be supplied from this product. After that, connect the control PC and the measurement system is completed.
